Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant is the NBA’s most valuable player. League commissioner David Stern presented Bryant the trophy. The first of his promising career. Bryant averaged 28.3 points, following only to LeBron James. To go along with 6.3 rebounds and 5.4 assists during the regular season. Bryant helped make his teammates better, helping with 57 wins, 15 more than last season. James and Chris Paul from the Hornets were also strong MVP candidates. Bryant, 29, led in scoring and was voted for the league’s all-defensive team in the last two seasons but he did not get it. Steve Nash of the Phoenix Suns got the award.Last year, he averaged more than 31 points and finished third. Behind Nash and Nowtizki.
