The NBA – In Recession?

Posted by Raffy @ 10:40 am

nbarecessionThe effects of the global economic recession have reached far and wide, so much that it has reached the NBA as companies trim down on expenses and other costs. Sponsorships and other advertising deals are down and more and more seats go unfilled as the economy has them saving each and every dollar for other needs. With jobs being shed all over the place, there seems to be no end to the effects of the economy even on the ordinary Joe who simply wants to live in peace.
The NBA has always been a costly endeavor for the teams, state and advertisers and with dwindling cash supplies, there may not be enough to keep the game in it’s current glory. The games won;t stop but we’ll surely see some changes to the way they are staged and played. The economy has to recover soon for them and many other businesses to begin earning profits again or else they risk loosing advertising and funding to the All American game that is Basketball.
